It’s a Rat Race Out There! London’s Pop-Up Rat Café Opens Tomorrow, Photo: London DungeonBack in March, Lady Dinah’s Cat Emporium caused a feline frenzy when it offered a side of kitties with its coffee. And now, Londoners are preparing to pay to nosh on sweet delights and sip rattuccinos and rattes in the company of live rats. That’s right: live rats.

But never fear! Visitors won’t go home with bacteria-ridden rat bites. Special keepers supervise the little guys (who are tame and groomed) and you won’t pet when you eat (thank goodness). Oh, and guests will be provided with hand sanitizer, because rats.

London Dungeon’s one-day-only affair will be held tomorrow, June 24, from 6:30pm-8:30pm. Tickets must be prebooked and cost £5 each, but tea/coffee and cake is included in the admission price.

New York City residents (like me!), on the other hand, already have access to a rat breeding ground of our own, known to most people as the Subway. Cheers!
