Whether you’re a sports fanatic or can’t sit through a game without snoring, we all can agree that everything is infinitely better when puppies are involved.
Back in February, we howled with sadness when the Puppy Bowl ended. Little did we know that we were in for a special treat —the World Pup! Complete with an all-star lineup of too-cute-to-handle canines, Animal Planet has proven itself to be the top dog when it comes to all things furry and four-legged.
In this first-ever competition, fans can watch videos chock full of fun facts AND adorbs doggies and click to vote for their favorite breeds. Sixteen countries are vying for the title, so the competition can get barking mad. The first voting period closes tomorrow at 3pm, with each consecutive round closing the following Wednesday until a winner takes the trophy on July 10.
Emerging favorites include the USA's Alaskan Malamute, China's Shar-Pei, and Japan's Shibu Inu. And with those faces, it's not hard to see why.
